  1.        Welcome to the VGA Planets Interface Program for PCBoard 15+!

  3.        This program will allow you, the VGA Planets player, to download
  4.        your .RST files and upload your .TRN files while protecting against
  5.        another player obtaining your files and cheating.
  6.  
  7.        In case you are really new to the game, here is some background
  8.        information.  VGA Planets is a revolutionary BBS game.  Your turns
  9.        are played offline (saving you valuable connect time) and then your 
  10.        commands are compressed into a .TRN file for interpretation by the 
  11.        host.  Each of the players does this, and at the end of the day (or 
  12.        at some other pre-determined time), the host program runs and 
  13.        applies the commands uploaded by all of the players, generating 
  14.        .RST (result) files.  The players each then download their 
  15.        respctive .RST files and the process is repeated.  Please see the 
  16.        Planets docs for more detailed information.

  18.        This program is an interface to allow users easy access to the .RST
  19.        and .TRN files with a minimum of SysOp interaction.  The program 
  20.        also provides security for these files, preventing them from 
  21.        falling into the hands of unscrupulous players.

  23.        Upon entering this program, you will be given a list of all of the 
  24.        currently active VGA Planets games.  These games will be 
  25.        highlighted in one of three ways.  Games which you have already 
  26.        joined will be displayed in magenta with your race in the right 
  27.        column.  Games which are not full and which you have not joined 
  28.        will be displayed in Blue with the number of races available shown 
  29.        in the right column.  Games which are full and which you have not 
  30.        joined will be displayed in red with the word "Unavailable" 
  31.        displayed in the right column.  You will also have the options to 
  32.        get information on a particular game, get general help (this 
  33.        display), or to quit the interface and return to PCBoard.

  35.        Selecting a game which you have already joined will allow you to 
  36.        upload your .RST or download your .TRN files, as well as getting 
  37.        help, game info, or quitting to PCBoard.  If you select a game 
  38.        which has available races, then you will be given a list of those 
  39.        races which are available and asked to choose from that list.  
  40.        As always, the Info, Help, and Quit options are also available.
  41.        Selecting a game which is not available will prompt the program to 
  42.        display an error message telling you that you messed up.

  44.        Always remember to download a .RST file after the host has run, and 
  45.        then upload a .TRN file before the host runs again.  Your SysOp can 
  46.        tell you what time the host runs.  That is all there is to using 
  47.        the PCBoard VGA Planets Interface Program.  Please encourage your 
  48.        SysOp to register this shareware!
